Message From The Rector
President University has been built on the twin goals of producing the country’s best and brightest, competent, and successful leader of tomorrow. It prides itself as a leading institute of learning where students from all over Indonesia and the world would acquire the knowledge, skills and attributes to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
President University implements a student – centered approach in the way that it implements its academic curricula and its methods of teaching, mentoring, guiding and handling student learning in the classroom and outside of it. This student – centered approach radiates as well from the management of the dormitory and the promotion of student organizations, clubs and charities. The key purpose of our approach is really to serve our student well and provide them with a wholesome learning environment that recognizes each student’s particular needs and unique abilities as individuals and learners.
This year President University sees a dramatic rise in student numbers. This is proof that PU is becoming recognized as providing top quality education. This year PU has also opened a new faculty – the faculty of Business and International Relations (F-BI). This new faculty will offer study programs in business management with a focus on entrepreneurship education, and international relations that will focus on knowledge and skill in global business and regional eco-politics.
President University is committed to the improvement of all facilities that will make the student’s life in campus conducive to high-quality learning. The improvement are now in the area of adding more lecturers from domestic and overseas, building more classrooms, adding more IT facilities, enhancing the computer and engineering laboratories, and increasing the books references. Furthermore, PU would like to improve its teaching methodologies hence it has been endeavoring to have skills development programs for lecturers and staff.
Apart from these programs, PU is now preparing for the accreditation of its major study programs like Management and Accounting, and to be followed up by Industrial Engineering, all planned for this year. These and many other improvements in content teaching and facilities will make PU a much better institution of higher learning and surely cement its reputation as primer preparation ground for future leaders of this country.
